The owner of the company came, personally, to our home (after “normal” work hours) to go over and walk through the job with us, listened intently to what we wanted/needed to have done, offered his professional advise/opinion, and patiently showed us actual carpet samples (allowing our usually indecisive mother to actually pick the exact type/color carpet she wanted).
We were provided with an estimate for the services the very next day and the price was reasonable and within our allocated budget for the entire job. The workers that RC&R sent to our home to complete each segment of the job were all courteous, patient & professional.
Specifically, I would give RC&R top marks in the following areas:
1. Quality of work performed: The quality of work done was consistently top notch. The workers that RC&R sent to our home to complete each segment of the job were all courteous, professional, and conscientious about following project specifications.
2. Integrity and professionalism:RC&R and their workers are trustworthy, consistent, reliable, and very personable. During the project, a situation arose where extra work needed to be done because after the basement bedroom walls were painted, the color was not what was expected and we wanted it changed .RC&R gladly let us pick a different color and came to repaint the walls without any undue stress or hostility. The additional work did culminate in additional invoicing, but even this was still fair and reasonably priced.
3. Effective communication: RC&R and their workers kept us closely informed of their availability schedule, delivery dates, and projected completion dates for the different segments of the project. Their communication, whether by cell phone, text message, or email, was always clear, informative, and helpful.
4. Truth in advertising: In their estimate for services,RC&R gave a clear breakdown of costs for each segment of the project. Their contract was detailed in describing the work to be done and the itemized costs. When the project was completed, all the work was done as described and agreed upon. As a homeowner and customer, I felt RC&R delivered exactly what they had promised, at the agreed upon price.
During a stressful time in the aftermath of water damage caused by the burst pipe, after receiving “the run-around” for a month from a different vendor, and in a world where shoddy workmanship and poor service are unfortunately all too common, RC&R is indeed a rare find. I would not hesitate to hire RC&R again for remediation/general contracting projects. As you can see, I recommend this company most enthusiastically and without any reservations.
Put tile floors in kitchen and hardwood floors in two bedrooms. Wonderful! Mark was great from start to finish, so much so that we picked the tile from a book, but Mark made a special stop for a sample to make sure we liked it in person.
Mark and his team were a pleasure to work with. Mark was personable, friendly, accommodating and communicated with us throughout the whole process. Every member of his install/refinishing team was friendly and knowledgeable, and all of the work went off without a hitch, even though his team had to deal with a few snow storms during the process. The floors and the carpeting look beautiful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend RC&R to anyone looking for carpeting or hardwood floor refinishing.
